Commercial Hood Fire Suppression Systems

Course Overview:                                 

This course is designed to educate the code enforcement officer on the basics of plan review, acceptance testing and periodic testing of commercial cooking systems to ensure compliance with the International Fire Code (2015 Edition) Section 904.11 and NFPA 96 (2014 Edition). 

Hour 1: Elements of plan review for commercial cooking fire suppression systems 

Hour 2: Acceptance testing and required maintenance, testing and inspections 

Technical Codes: Fire, Building, Mechanical

Speaker Bio

Jamie Knowles is the Vice President of Restaurant and Industrial Fire Systems sales at Amerex Corporation and has been active in the fire protection industry for over 25 years.  His experience working as a service technician, installer, manager and manufacturers rep of restaurant fire suppression systems gives him a unique perspective on our business.  In Jamie’s current position with Amerex he interacts with Fire Equipment Distributors, Kitchen Hood Manufacturers, Restaurant Chains and Fire code Officials across the country.
